H2U At Emory Eastside Medical Center Hosts Ruthann Lacey, Elder Law Attorney

June 1, 2010 - Ruthann Lacey, P.C. will be the guest speaker at the H2U-Health To You general meeting Wednesday, June 23rd at 2:00 p.m.  H2U meetings are held at the Snellville Senior Center, 2350 Oak Road, in Snellville.  Ms. Lacey will be speaking on the topic “The Most Important Decision You Will Ever Make.”

Ms. Lacey established her law office in 1995 in Tucker, GA.  She is a licensed and certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, and concentrates her practice solely in elder and special needs law.  Elder law is defined as a general practice relating to the particular needs of older or disabled individuals.  Ms. Lacey is a graduate of Emory University School of Law.  She is an active speaker on local, state, and national levels, both to professional groups and organizations.

H2U-Health To You is a health and wellness membership program with the goal of empowering people to manage their health and enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Annie Copeland, H2U Director at Emory Eastside, points out that many of the H2U activities are centered upon popular hospital services. “For example, using our expertise in managing arthritis or diabetes, the H2U program offers seminars, physician lectures and screenings to help people understand how to live a healthy life despite having these conditions,” says Copeland.

Members also have access to online health tools to record vital health information (blood pressure, cholesterol levels, etc.) and receive a list of suggested health screenings and exams, based upon the member’s personal, family and social health history. This assessment is available at no extra charge to H2U members who pay an annual membership fee of just $20.

More information about the H2U program is available online at www.emoryeastside.com or by calling 770-982-2358.
